Just purchased this awesome pair of end tables for my living room. Shout out to Maiwa East for donating part of their profit to the folks over in India who made them!

New year, new Idea

Over the holidays I was given this great book on paper folding techniques by Paul Jackson. It's got some beautiful photography in it and actually gets its reader excited about origami.


The thing I'm most excited about is its potential application for fabric. I have seen origami quilts in the past but never really thought about pursuing it. Might be worth reconsidering though.

Let us take a moment to talk about how great Photoshop brushes are.
Check it out. Remember this drawing? Something I did a few weeks back.



After a quick Google search and one tutorial later I learned how to separate my scanned drawings from their backgrounds and create a brush preset.


One stroke of the brush and suddenly I got pattern!

Brilliant.
